1. What are the major forms of business structures, and how do I choose the one that is right for my business?
The four main business structures used in Barbados are: (1) unincorporated businesses, (2) partnerships, (3) societies with restricted liability and (4) limited liability companies.
Each structure has its advantages and disadvantages, but when choosing the business structure which may be right for your business the primary focus should be on personal liability and tax obligations.
2. Can I register a limited liability company without an Attorney?
No. To register as a limited liability company, you should first consult an Attorney-at-Law.
3. How long does it take to incorporate a Company?
A typical incorporation of a company takes approximately 5 business days once all the relevant documentation filed with the Registrar is in order.
